1. i've been busy with FINAL house moving

This year's birthday (11th AUG) was great!

Audi Fashion Week 2011: Emanuel Ungaro

AUDI AUDI AUDI and this is the FASHION WEEK, people!

and I keep on changing fashion-partner to go with but I end up going with dear Faeza XD

Great show, seriously. Ungaro has his own signature on featuring nature as applique on his garments, mostly. The embellishments are unique and very fine detailed. His designs are simple but yet there's edginess to every single piece, not lacking in any one of the design actually. One thing I don't get it is the uses of fabrics are 'too' variety BUT none of them are 'clashy'. Intelligent indeed!

As i was sitting and observing, I noticed these two group of girls tend to look at each other and start whispering. I was there for a friend's birthday party and i guess our group doesn't do much other than dance and eating that yummyyy strawberry cheesecake (that we end up farting a lot, i guess. but it was nice, seriously!).

Ehemm, back to the two groups, they actually fascinate me a lottttt by just looking at them. one of them are more like matured ladies while the other are those happening hippie youngster. The reason I said they fascinate me is mostly because the way they enjoy themselves. I mean, those youngsters really know how to party the right way for the the right place, from they way they dress (at least they make effort -.-") to they way the mingle among them.

Shall i mention the elderly ones? ouh! i guess you guys rather listen to some shitty songs sang by those "rejects" for american idol, trust me! they dance like they're practically doing aerobic -.-, and the funniest part was, a friend of mine imitate the same bloody exact way of their dance. hahaha. hilarious night indeed.

basically i was just nonsensicaling kat atas tu -.-

but anyways every single thing happen during that short trip was truly UNFORGETTABLE.

It's very RARE of me to post things on designer, because basically my blog is full of either nonsensical pictures or random posts. tehee. but today, it's different. okayh, let's start talking, shall we?

To me, knowing about him is not that much, yet. It all started when I saw him in reality tv show, Project Runway Malaysia. I was only 17 back then and he attracted me a lot, and more over when i can see a chance coming to meet him recently. Receiving a ticket to attend Jelita Gala Dinner was truly an honoured. The main focus was obviously; the local designers.

One of people from Jelita Magazine actually dragged me up to meet him and i was in shocked. Seriously. I don't even chat much with him, because the ballroom was full of noise and stuff. But what I can obviously see, Hatta is a very down-to-earth person, very smiley as well. I sent him an email to do a mini cover on him for my blog, but up till now, still no reply. Ouh, mybe he will, SOON. ;)

So, here some lines i've picked up (with credit of course):-

FYI, its due to the problem I faced and due to myself. But we're growing up, makin ditegur makin berubah. InsyaAllah.

Friends should just say things that they don't want you to do towards them. If you keep to yourself, you will just keep the friendship "hanging" without a rope.

I'm currently a graduated fashion student. as you know ;D

So when my sister informed me that her school cheer squad club need me to assist them in designing as well as producing their uniforms, I was obviously delighted!

Five designs were submitted to them for them review and finalize. and of course proceed.

Unfortunately at that time, the team and I were extremely busy with our own thing; for them was the exams and for me was the fashion show.

At first I thought I only called to design. after their review on the design; one out of five was chosen; they again need my help to proceed on finding the tailor and sourcing for materials. HAH! i was extra happy to do this more!

XD They went for a international competition few weeks back and found out that one of the team had the design like one they had already chose. Surprisingly to me, at the time I was designing, I didnt even browse thru the net for inspiration! HAHA. and so another few designs were done for them.

To be frank, I miss cheer-leading and I'm grateful that I'm having the opportunity to continue this by helping them out. Hope my first project will proceed to the more challenging ones. But for now, let's just hope this one goes well all along till it's done.

p/s: my design skill is pretty much lousy nowadays. thanks for the 2 years of not drawing. imagine that. -.-"

Fashion. Fashion School. the environment. the lecturers. the classmates. the classes. I will seriously miss everything i had for the pass three years. having said that, here some things im going to tell you.

Being in somewhere you dont even feel comfortable at your very first day in school was hard. i had it. and yeah, it was quite hard. It was my first time of studying here in Singapore. but hell, it was easy to make friends with some people for me, I mean REAL people, not the ones who act and hypocrite. Seriously, there's bunch of interesting people I met; the one with funny tattoos, the one with full of fantasy in the life, the one who work soo hard yet hardly recognized, the one who are lazy to attend classes, the one you can always bitch around and of course the one everybody would talk about.

So choose now,which one you want to be just to fit in? i chose to be myself all along and yet i can SURVIVE! be real here, fashion people are hypocites sometimes, thats how they think they can survive. UNFORTUNATELY, that's totally wrong. Even one of the lecturer said that. Yes, you can be as bitchy as you want but be real!

HAHA. NAFA taught me to be more independent and work smartly. Be strong as you go through everything: assignments, datelines and lecturers. I was very much lucky as I met bunch of girlfriends who motivate and 'drag' each other to school everyday. We hardly absent and punctual almost everyday. Not to brag. Just sharing. Truthfully speaking, in this way, you can simply caught lecturer's attention. Not by boot-licking 24/7.

But then again, i learnt a lot too from these people. As in learn to be more aware. HAHA. seriously, dont start if you dont want to end up that way; being left alone. that's the real deal here in Fashion School beside the assignments and other 'torture'. one of the GREATEST 'torture' is obviously the fact that you cant wear the same thing on and on because people tend to talk about it. baaaah.

tell me about it. I dont even know what to do with half of my wardrobe.

Amazingly, all of my close friends love to complaint on every single thing, but we are the ones who hand in the assignments without making the lecturer deduct our marks. yes we are not the intelligent ones but the SMART ones. hey, we are survivors, right girls?

The most interesting part when i'm in Fashion School is when all the glamorous take part. Now, dealing with a fashion show is the one thing i've been waited. the model casting, the fitting, the outfits obviously! all the hardwork will be rewarded with SATISFACTION soon. Ouh dear, I will try my best to go on with my dream. my ambition. Thanks to mama papa siblings and friends. I Heart You All.

“Fashion is subjective”. That’s cliché. I know, it is. It doesn’t matter if you are or not a fashion student, there must be a good, or shall I say, better fashion sense in you. To be frank, I don’t consider myself as a fashionista, unless people out there tell me so J .

Anyway, a good taste of you means you dress yourself well. I agree, branded things have better quality. Yes, but again, that's about branding power. People buy for the brand. Seriously. I am not against branded stuff; I am just not the kind who care.

Basic Styling #1: Colours

Colour, styling and accessories are always the main keys. When you think monochrome looks good on you, why don’t you try add on an accent colour to it. For example, you are wearing black pants with grey top; add a RED belt and BLUE shoes together. Other than looking boring, you look confident in front of everybody!

Okayh, now you might think, not every person can pull it off. First thing of all, you have to choose the right basic colours to put against the accent colour. The accent colour shouldn’t be only one colour, it can be more. Blue + Yellow. Red + Blue. Green and Yellow and so on. These colours are basically adding up the fun in what you are wearing. So, please say ‘NO’ to boring plain outfit now and try this on!
